Nerds make better lovers

It’s official… nerds make better lovers. I’ve known it all along (being a geek/nerd myself) but it’s good to have some external validation. I mean, if it’s on the internet, it’s gotta be true! 😉

New York Daily News – Nerds make better lovers

Update: Don’t know if you’re a nerd? Nerds and geeks are usually self-identifying, but if you’re in doubt, you can always take the Nerd Test. (link via Mark via Patsy). Although, this Nerd test is fairly computer specific… so YMMV.

I am nerdier than 74% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!

Warnings and Promises

Glenn Mcdonald takes the record industry to task for… well… failing as an industry. I find myself in a similar place- I still buy CDs, I don’t download off filesharing services… but I still have some (not much) music I haven’t purchased on my iPod, because:

1. I can’t buy it, or
2. It’s ridiculously expensive in the US, or
3. I simply don’t listen to it and thus don’t get around to deleting it, or
4. I can’t remember if I own it or not

Am I a criminal, or just an average tech savvy consumer?

From the article:

But I have also now started stealing your music. I haven’t stolen much, but I’m sure you will agree that the moral issue is not merely one of quantity. I have been one of the last independent apologists for a moral kernel, elusive now to perhaps the point of imagination, in your corrupt and desperate retreat, but now even I have given up. I still buy, but now I also steal. You have forfeited your right to my loyalty. And maybe you’re too lost and beaten to care, and even more likely it’s too late to matter, but for a few minutes I’m going to pretend that neither of those things are so. I’m going to pretend that you’re still capable of awareness and reason, and in a spirit of truth that you long ago stopped deserving, while I’ve still taken little enough to list, I’m going to tell you exactly what I have stolen from you, and why.

The Daker goes global

I’ve had Daker torrents up for awhile but this is huge. The Daker video in now on ebaumsworld… which means it’s being seen by too many people to count. I think I’m going to cry… nope… but it’s great that he’s finally made the big time. Daker deserves it.

Not a big suprise…

I, like my buddy Steve Knight… scored as Emergent/Postmodern.

You scored as Emergent/Postmodern. You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don’t think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.

Bluer is moving… again.

After 2 years of relatively stability… bluer is moving again. So is Solomon’s Porch by the way.

So, if you know of any available buildings in the Minneapolis, let us know!

We’ll have a document detailing our needs soon, I’ll post it here when we do.
