Newspapers dying off?

We’ll have books for a long long time, but newspapers are definitely becoming an endangered species. I can’t remember the last time I intentionally bought a paper…

Once in the last year out of boredom is all that comes to mind.

I’d never dream of… subscribing… to a paper. Whenever the Star Trib calls I tell them I get my news on the internet. I bet they love hearing that! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Book Crossing

Very cool idea! Read a book, then ‘leave’ it for someone else to find. They can log on to the site to post comments. Trace the ‘life’ of your book online.

So, would this work with CD’s? Would it be legal? I’d imagine so…

My toaster is smarter than your toaster

toaster.jpg

There’s something about stainless steel that just… makes me… buy.

To top it off, this thing has some brains!

It has a toast, bagel, frozen (defrosts, then toasts) and warm modes- all indicated by pretty blue LEDs. It also has a cancel button รขโ‚ฌโ€œ I think it’d be funny if they labeled it ‘Esc’ for us geeks ;-).

Seeing a blue LED on a toaster in an odd sight indeeed, I keep doing a double take.
