Octal-licious

Brand spanking new… ’cause I felt like it 😉

Octal Translator

Of course, you’re old favorites Binary and Hex are still around too.

So, if one were so inclined, one could take some text, encode it into binary, then hex, then octal (rinse and repeat as needed) and have a very, very obfuscated (and large) bit of gibberish on their hands. The trick is getting the other person to figure out what you did 😉

Hmmm… Perhaps a tagging system is in order?

e.g.
[BIN]010000100110100101101110011000010111001001111001[/BIN]
[HEX]%48%65%78%00[/HEX]
[OCT]117143164141154[/OCT]

I’ll give it some thought!
